A centrifugal pump is a mechanical device designed to move a fluid by means of the transfer of rotational energy from one or more driven rotors, called impellers. Fluid enters the rapidly rotating impeller along its axis and is cast out by centrifugal force along its circumference through the impeller's vane tips.
"PEW" "MP & NSP Series" Self-priming Non-Clog Monoblock Pump''s volute chamber and impellers are designed to give the best possible hydraulic efficiency and suction lift characteristics. These pumps are powered by a totally enclosed fan cooled A.C. Induction motor. Motor stator is made of low watt-loss silicon steel laminations assembled under pressure and rigidly locked in the frame. Construction of motor frames and usage of quality materials result in high performance and low temperature rise thereby increasing the life cycle of the pumps.

PEW" Multistage Vertical Centrifugal Pumps (PW series) are non self priming with inline design for ease of installation in constricted spaces. The suction and delivery ports are of same size and in the same horizontal plane. The mechanical seal and bearings are lubricated by the pumped liquid. All components like impellers, diffuser and shaft are made of corrosion resistant stainless steel and designed to deliver the best possible hydraulic efficiency.
Excessive Axial thrust is balanced by assembling the pump stages with equal number of opposed impellers. Balancing of axial thrust allows the use of standard flange mounted motors without special bearings. Working pressure on mechanical seal reduces to half, due to opposed impellers. The shaft is well supported by bush bearings ensuring noiseless operation.

A centrifugal domestic water pump is a reliable and efficient solution for water supply and transfer in households and small-scale applications. These pumps use the centrifugal force generated by a rotating impeller to move water, making them ideal for delivering water from wells, tanks, or reservoirs to homes and gardens. Known for their simple design and ease of maintenance, centrifugal pumps are widely used for domestic purposes.
PEW" split case pumps come with horizontal pump shaft and volute casing, which can be dismantled in the horizontal plane along the drive shaft.
These pumps are available in single and double stage. The single stage pumps have inline (symmetric) design, whereas the double stage pumps have asymmetric design.
FEATURES
Following are the significant features observed in PEW Split case pumps:-
The split case construction enables removal and dismantling of the internal pump parts e.g. bearings, wear rings, shaft seal and impeller without disturbing the motor & pipe work.
The pumps are non self priming, horizontal split case with radial suction and discharge ports.
Flanges for suction and discharge ports are PN 16 and PN 25 as per DIN standard EN 1092-2.
These pumps are long coupled pumps with TEFC squirrel cage induction motors complying to IEC standards and foot mounting.
Pumps are available with gland packing as well as mechanical seal. The volute casing is provided with a priming & a drain hole closed by plugs. Impeller is of closed type with single or double curved blades and a smooth surface finish to ensure high pump efficiency. The impellers are dynamically balanced to grade 6.3 of ISO 1940. The impeller is of two types:
Single-suction impeller with liquid entry from one side. They are used in two-stage pumps only and are mounted laterally reversed in a back to back manner.
Double-suction impeller with liquid entry from both sides. They are used in single stage pumps only. Wear rings positioned between impeller and volute casing, protect the latter against wear and are easily replaceable
These pumps are available in bare type or can be supplied as a complete unit with Motor (Eff 1 or
2), coupling, coupling guard and fabricated steel base frame.

FEATURES
Vertical suction intermediate and discharge casings are clamped together by external tie bolt and sealed with gaskets or ''O'' rings as required by the design, temperature of the pumped liquid and the construction of the pump.
Grease lubricated Anti-friction Bearings, designed to meet the application requirements are mounted on either side.
The pump uses soft graphite lubricated asbestos packing. The shaft is fitted with renewable shaft sleeve in the region of the stuffing box, which protects it from wear due to packing. Water-jacketed and special design of stuffing boxes with mechanical seals are available.
The discharge port is top vertical. The suction port is horizontally located on the right or left-hand side of central position when viewed from the driving end. The flanges are round and corresponding to International standards.
The direction of rotation is clockwise when viewed from the driving end.
