Being a pioneer in the use of Submersible Borewell Pumps for Firefighting, "PEW" now offers Centrifugal Back pull-out Endsuction pumps for use in places where Submersible pumps are not permitted / connot be used. These pumps are non-selfpriming with axial suction port, radial discharge port and horizontal shaft. The back pull-out design enables removal of the motor, coupling, bearing bracket and impellar without disturbing the pump housing or pipework.

    • Self vented, foot mounted, center suction volute casing & single stage, closed / semi open dynamically balanced non-clog impeller ensure unimpeded liquid flow
    • Supporting feet are cast integral with the casing along with suction and discharge nozzles
    • Flange drilling standards as per DIN 24255 / ISO 2858 or as per customer''s requirement
    • Designed for 16 bar working pressure with optional casing for a working pressure of up to 20 bar
    • A robust and solid construction that guarantees long life even under high suction pressure conditions
    • Heavy-duty, deep-grooved closed ball bearings with minimum 50,000/- hours operating life under normal conditions ensure no dirt intrusions.(Grease lubricated; oil lubrication available on request )
    • Heavy-duty, stiff solid shaft design with low L 3/D 4 ratio ensures less than 0.05 mm shaft deflection at the seal face in all operating conditions which extends seal life
    • Seal housing is constructed to accommodate different seal/gland designs, so as to meet heavy-duty requirements, if any
    • Excellent parts interchangeability reduces inventory levels for spare parts to a minimum

    PEW" End Suction Pumps are non- self-priming single-stage, centrifugal volute pumps with axial suction port, centrally placed radial discharge port and horizontal shaft. Volute chamber and impellers are designed to give the best possible hydraulic efficiency and good suction lift characteristics. Most modern and highly sophisticated machinery and technology are engaged in manufacturing these pumpsets, using quality raw materials, dynamically balanced impellers and rotors to ensure long life.

    These pumpsets are powered by a totally enclosed, fan cooled, AC Induction, two pole motor suitable for continuous duty with main dimensions complying with IEC standards. Motor stator is made of low watt-loss, silicon steel laminations assembled under pressure and rigidly locked in the frame. The windings are of high-grade enamelled copper wire and are varnish impregnated. Construction of motor frames and usage of quality materials result in high performance and low temperature rise thereby increasing the life cycle of the pumps.

    Being a pioneer in manufacturing of Centrifugal Monoblocks and End Suction pumps, "PEW" pumps have now expanded its pump business by introducing Horizontal multistage centrifugal pumps. By introducing these type of pumps,"PEW" now not only deals in the Domestic Sector but have taken a step head ahead by starting its business in the Industrial Sector. The USP of these pumps are its capacity to deliver liquid at very high pressures.

      • Vertical suction intermediate and discharge casings are clamped together by external tie bolt and sealed with gaskets or ''O'' rings as required by the design, temperature of the pumped liquid and the construction of the pump.
      • Grease lubricated Anti-friction Bearings, designed to meet the application requirements are mounted on either side.
      • The pump uses soft graphite lubricated asbestos packing. The shaft is fitted with renewable shaft sleeve in the region of the stuffing box, which protects it from wear due to packing. Water-jacketed and special design of stuffing boxes with mechanical seals are available.
      • The discharge port is top vertical. The suction port is horizontally located on the right or left-hand side of central position when viewed from the driving end. The flanges are round and corresponding to International standards.
      • The direction of rotation is clockwise when viewed from the driving end.

    PEW" split case pumps come with horizontal pump shaft and volute casing, which can be dismantled in the horizontal plane along the drive shaft.

    These pumps are available in single and double stage. The single stage pumps have inline (symmetric) design, whereas the double stage pumps have asymmetric design.


    Following are the significant features observed in PEW Split case pumps:-

    • The split case construction enables removal and dismantling of the internal pump parts e.g. bearings, wear rings, shaft seal and impeller without disturbing the motor & pipe work.
    • The pumps are non self priming, horizontal split case with radial suction and discharge ports.
    • Flanges for suction and discharge ports are PN 16 and PN 25 as per DIN standard EN 1092-2.
    • These pumps are long coupled pumps with TEFC squirrel cage induction motors complying to IEC standards and foot mounting.
    • Pumps are available with gland packing as well as mechanical seal.
      The volute casing is provided with a priming & a drain hole closed by plugs. Impeller is of closed type with single or double curved blades and a smooth surface finish to ensure high pump efficiency. The impellers are dynamically balanced to grade 6.3 of ISO 1940. The impeller is of two types:
    • Single-suction impeller with liquid entry from one side. They are used in two-stage pumps only and are mounted laterally reversed in a back to back manner.
    • Double-suction impeller with liquid entry from both sides. They are used in single stage pumps only.
      Wear rings positioned between impeller and volute casing, protect the latter against wear and are easily replaceable
    • These pumps are available in bare type or can be supplied as a complete unit with Motor (Eff 1 or

      2), coupling, coupling guard and fabricated steel base frame.

    • Max permissible temp. of pumped liquid - 140???.
    • Max. ambient temperature - 45°C for EFF2 motors & 60°C for EFF1 motors.
